Cheaha Mountain is Alabama's highest point at 2,413 feet, located in Cheaha State Park. The summit features an observation tower and can be reached by car. History
Named from the Creek Indian word meaning 'high place,' Cheaha Mountain has been a landmark for centuries. The area became Alabama's first state park in 1933 and features a historic stone tower built by the CCC that provides panoramic views of eastern Alabama.
