Crocker Mountain stands at 4,228 feet in the Rangeley-Stratton region. The Appalachian Trail crosses both the north and south peaks, making it a popular destination for thru-hikers. The forested summit offers limited views, but clearings along the trail provide glimpses of the surrounding peaks.
History
Crocker Mountain has been traversed by the Appalachian Trail since it was routed through this section of Maine. The mountain was named for a local family who owned land in the area during the 19th century.
