West Kill Mountain is the final peak on the eastern end of the Devil's Path, one of the most challenging hiking trails in the Catskills. The mountain offers some of the best views in the Catskills from a ledge known as Diamond Notch.
History
West Kill Mountain got its name from the West Kill stream that flows at its base. The mountain is traversed by the infamous Devil's Path, which was named for its challenging terrain and was established as a marked trail in the early 20th century.
